Where is Taylor Made Escapes located?
Our Beneteau Oceanis yachts are moored near Palm Beach Ferry Wharf.
Our address is Palm Beach Ferry Wharf, 1151 Barrenjoey Road, Palm Beach NSW 2108.
Is parking available at Palm Beach?
We do not have any specific parking at Palm Beach Ferry Wharf. Council operate day only (up to 12 hrs) metered parking at Pittwater Park, there is no overnight metered parking in this car park. The car park at the North side of Palm Beach Ferry Wharf does not have parking, it is for Western foreshore residents only.
Free parking is available on Barrenjoey Rd and in Palm Beach Rd, please allow plenty of time to find a spot so you are not late boarding the tender.
Where do we operate?
Our Skippered Yacht Charters leave from Palm Beach Ferry Wharf and operate within Pittwater, Broken Bay and Lion Island (depending on weather). Our Skipper will discuss what you would like to do, where you would like to go and plans the experience around your wishes taking into consideration weather and available time.
Do the yachts have linen onboard?
Yes, all linen is supplied including sheets, pillows, doona, & in cooler weather, blankets.
Do we need to bring towels?
No, we have towels on the yachts available for your use.
Can we cook on board?
All yachts have a 2 burner gas stove, gas oven and basic cooking equipment. The galley has plates, cups, cutlery, wine and champagne glasses. An ice box filled with ice will keep your food and drink chilled.
I like to fish, do I need to bring fishing gear?
The yachts have basic fishing rods and some fishing gear, you will need to bring bait and if you plan to take your catch home bring a container to store it in. Keen fisher persons would be best to bring their own gear.
I’m staying overnight, how do we get ashore to the beach during our stay?
All overnight stays on our yachts have a small 2 person rowing dinghy so you can row ashore. We give you some guidance on rowing before we leave you for the afternoon/evening.
What happens to my booking if the weather is bad?
We want you to feel safe and comfortable while on our yachts, please read the following carefully.
● A yacht charter will still proceed if the weather is raining, overcast, scattered showers, cool or any other weather factor that is not making it unsafe to operate.
● Unsafe weather including high winds, heavy rain, storms and rough seas as determined by your Skipper, may require your yacht charter to be rescheduled. Our Skipper will determine if it is safe to proceed and may contact you prior to your Overnight Stay to raise a possibility of postponement. Postponements will be rescheduled at the earliest mutually convenient date.
● You will have one opportunity to reschedule if we postpone. Any cancellation or postponement of rescheduled Overnight Stay by you will result in forfeiture of full charter fee.
What if I need to cancel my experience?
● Any Charter cancellation or postponement is required to be in writing clearly outlining the reason, this can be emailed to bookings@taylormadeescapes.com.au
● If you cancel after payment, more than 14 days prior to the Charter date, we will refund 80% of the cost. ● If you cancel within 14 days of the Charter date, no refund is given.
● If you postpone a Charter more than 14 days prior, you can change it once only.
●A postponement between 7-14 days has a fee of $100 and the new date subject to availability.
● A Charter cannot be postponed within 7 days of Charter date unless by mutual agreement with Taylor Made Escapes under exceptional circumstances.
● Failure to arrive at the nominated location and board time or ‘no shows’ are deemed a cancellation and no refund will be given.
Can I postpone my experience?
If you postpone your skippered yacht charter or overnight stay more than 14 days prior to the date of your experience, you can change it once only. A postponement between 14 and 7 days has a fee of $100 and new date is subject to availability. A skippered yacht charter or overnight stay cannot be postponed within 7 days unless by mutual agreement with Taylor Made Escapes.
